Homework & Tests

I know how much it sucks, how much stress it causes. My tips and tricks to getting it done are so simple. Do it. That might sound stupid but if you add up all the time you spend sitting around, procrastinating, crying, stressing, and texting people for the answers, it can be up to double the amount the homework would actually take to do. My favorite thing to do is just set a timer on my phone for 45 minutes. Start your homework and don't stop. Once that bell rings, take a five minute break. BUT DON'T USE YOUR PHONE while in the break or it might turn into a 20 minute break. Then if you still have more, start the timer again. You will be surprised how easy it is to actually get all your work done.

Emily

Lists & Planners

My #1 go to when I am overwhelmed is to do create a list. All you need is a piece of paper and a pen. Just write down everything you need to get done and start checking them off. For some people, they may only need to do this once a week, others once a month, but for people like me you need to do it everyday. That's when a planner comes in handy. I probaby own 20+ planners but I only use two. The first on is from Barnes and Nobles and it's for school. It's super super cute and functional. I just write down what I need to get done for SCHOOL ONLY that night on the daily lines. My other planner is an Erin Condren Life Planner. It's super "clean" and organized and it actually motivates me to get my work done so I can check it off! If you stress over getting your work done also, try making lists and purchasing a cheap (or expensive) planner near you!

Functional & Stylish Tray

Last year at camp I created this super cute tray. I made it by taking a wood tray and painting it white. Then I took the tape and created a rectangle on the inside base. I then painted it light pink and let it dry. Finally, I took the tape off and it turned out perfect! I wasn't sure what I was going to use it for but I decided to take it home and make it work. I stacked 2 black books on it - which is super functional because I can read them at any time. Then I stacked a black journal on it - which is also functional so I can journal at any time! Then I put a Bath & Body Works candle on the tray as well. Next, I put my TV remote on the tray which makes it super convenient and I almost always never loose it (almost...) I love love this idea and I would definitely recommend you creating this! Enjoy this stylish DIY!

DIY Notebooks // Back to School

As the school year comes around, I went back to school shopping. I bought tons of stuff but as I was shopping I realized that there were hardly any cute notebooks! After searching for a while, I found two cute ones but I still needed two more. I bought a dark blue one (looks black in picture.) I also bought a white one. I got a cardstock heart from a friend, cut it out and then taped it on. The other two had cute designs on them (Paint and Feathers!)

Sincerely,

Emily
